Niemand kann genau sagen, wie spät es in Las Noches ist. Es scheint stets Nacht zu sein, wenn man aus den Bogenfenstern hinaus auf die weiten Wüsten Hueco Mundos schaut. So weit das Auge reicht, erstrecken sich Wogen um Wogen hellen Sandes vor dem dunklen, einzig mit einem Mond behangenen Himmel.

Vor diesem Panorama wirkte die Gestalt seltsam klein, als sie in sein Blickfeld kam, scheinbar ohne Hast bahnte sie sich ihren Weg auf die Festung zu. Er wusste bereits, um wen es sich handelte.
